So, when we discovered that Yahoo! is getting in to the sales lead business, we figured we pass this info along.
On Monday, Yahoo! Small Business launched Localworks – a way to help small businesses get more leads and help with search engine and directory visibility. It will supposedly get you to show up in search query results, local directories, and map apps like Mapquest and Bing Maps.
Localworks wants to drive new leads to companies by combining a local directory with reputation management features.
This feature will check local directories and push your business profile and content you’ve created to over 40 online directories, like Yahoo Local, Yelp, Citysearch and Bing — which could put you in front of over 150 million local searchers every month.
Your local listing will appear on desktop searches, mobile and GPS navigation devices so potential customers can easily find your company. And if you can add content, like videos, photos and social content, you’ll stand out even more.
When you submit your listing or content, it can take a few days for it to show up because they use humans to review to validate quality.
There’s a “reputation” page shows the number of clicks, time spent, average rating scores and total number of reviews. You can also click on recent review on the page so you can read them on the original site.
Check out Localworks on Yahoo! and see if it can help you generate more leads for your home improvement business! Keep in mind – it ain’t free for this service. They want $29.99 a month. But, like they say… there’s no such thing as a free lunch.
